The XD Theater 4D Extreme Motion attraction at WonderWorks must be experienced to be believed while the ride is simulated, the thrills are real as dips, turns, rumbles, and vibrations are in perfect synchronicity with the film being shown on the screen. Adding to the experience is the 3D nature of the film. The 3D special effects of the movie and the full motion of this attraction are what make it a 4D experience.
This is not just a "sit-back-and-enjoy-the-ride" ride. The XD Theater is a 12-seat venue that takes riders on an adventure that really makes them feel like they are being transported into a while new world. The interesting thing about this attraction is that while it looks fairly innocuous from the outside, once you’re inside and the experience starts, you forget that you’re not actually moving and that you are really just in a ride simulator at WonderWorks. This state-of-the-art attraction really makes you feel like one of those characters in a futuristic movie, where the characters are all experiencing life in a virtual world.
Your XD Theater 4D Extreme Motion experience will depend on what movie is being shown during your visit. There are currently three different movies that are shown on a rotating basis. All three movies offer a thrilling experience, so regardless of which one is being shown during your visit, you’re sure to have a one-of-a-kind thrilling experience.
While this attraction is suited for just about everyone, you must be at least 40” tall to ride.
