World Showcase | Epcot at Walt Disney World
Epcot theme park's World Showcase at Disney World Resort is home to 11 separate pavilions representing 11 different countries. Within each pavilion, guests will find architecture, food and beverage, entertainment, merchandise, rides, shows, and even cast members from the country being represented. The current list of countries being represented at World Showcase consists of:
• Canada
• China
• France
• Germany
• Italy
• Japan
• Mexico
• Morocco
• Norway
• United Kingdom
• United State of America
Adults and children alike will appreciate World showcase. The area customarily opens about two hours after Epcot opens for the day and stays open later than Future World, the other main area of Epcot. At World Showcase, guests can enjoy alcoholic beverages from the representative countries at each pavilion, although alcohol is not served in the Magic Kingdom theme park. Kids can enjoy meeting their favorite Disney characters dressed in native costume and make stops at "Kidcot stations," where they can create their own special souvenirs.
A major attraction at World Showcase is the World Showcase Lagoon, a man-made lake in the center of the World Showcase and surrounded by each country pavilion. A water craft knows as the Friendship transports visitors from Future World to World Showcase.
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is a nightly show taking place at the World Showcase Lagoon. The show incorporates fire, lasers, fireworks, and dancing water fountains synchronized to world-beat music while large screens display images of people and places from all over the world.
