Wake Zone | Wet 'n Wild
The Wake Zone at Wet ‘n Wild water park in Orlando is located at the park’s own lake and is open during the daylight hours from May until September. The Wake Zone offers guests an opportunity not available at any other water parks to experience fun and thrilling water sports.
Attractions at the Wake Zone are for adventurous visitors who like to challenge themselves. They include:
Wake Skating: Guests will jump on a wakeboard and get pulled around Lake Sandy by the Wake Zone cableway. Experts can hotdog it, but this attraction is also for beginners who are at least 56” tall and strong swimmers.
Knee Skiing: Similar to waterskiing, knee skiing takes less skill than waterskiing but is less frustrating than waterskiing as well. Guests kneel on a kneeboard and are towed on a cable around a half-mile long course on Sandy Lake.
The Wild One: A speedy little personal watercraft tows two people around Lake Sandy on big tubes with plenty of bounce. This is a bumpy ride, with the possibility that riders will end up in the water…but isn’t that the whole point of going to Wet ‘n Wild.
The Wake Zone is a welcoming environment to water-sport novices as well as experts. The main thing to remember is that there are height restrictions for all attractions and participants must be strong swimmers and wear floatation devices.
