Universal's Island of Adventure | Universal Orlando Resort

Universal's Islands of Adventure is one of the theme parks at Universal Orlando Resort. The broad theme is "journey of explanation." Upon entry into the park, guests have access to seven "islands" of adventure. These islands are:

Port of Entry. This is the park's main entrance and home to Pharos Lighthouse, a real, functioning lighthouse. The Port of Entry doesn't house any rides, but there's a plethora of shops and restaurants in this area.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The newest area of the park, this area brings the Harry Potter world and characters to life with areas like Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade Village, and Hogwarts Castle, which is the grand focal point of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Marvel Superhero Island. For guests seeking thrill rides, this is a popular area. Marvel comic book characters such as Captain America and Spiderman are represented here. This area features unique, comic book-style architecture.

Toon Lagoon. If you want to get wet, this is the place to do it. Toon Town is home to several water-based rides and dozens of water props placed throughout the park.

Jurassic Park. This thrilling area is based on the Jurassic Park films with rides and exhibits. It's set up as if it were real Jurassic Park--a zoological park for dinosaurs.

The Lost Continent. The themes of ancient myths and legends featuring Sinbad's Bazaar, an Arabian marketplace and a lost city reminiscent of Atlantis are featured in this area.

Seuss Landing. Based on the works of Dr. Seuss, this area has Seuss-themed attractions geared to small children.

With the addition of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Islands of Adventure is the destination for millions of visitors every year.
