SeaVenture | Discovery Cove
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to dwell at the bottom of the sea with all the exotic creatures that live there? The SeaVenture experience at Discovery Cove’s Grand Reef is an underwater walking tour you can enjoy without having to become SCUBA certified. That’s because you’ll wear a dive helmet and the rest of the accoutrements that will make it possible for you to explore the underwater world at Discovery Cove.
To begin your SeaVenture, you’ll be outfitted with the gear you’ll need to move and breathe underwater. You’ll climb down a ladder and then step onto the reef floor, where you’ll be up close and personal with sharks! But don’t worry, you will be separated from the sharks by gigantic panoramic windows under the water.
You will have the opportunity to meet and touch more docile sea creatures, who are not behind glass. Inhabitants of the reef you may met include schools of fish, rays, lionfish, and more. You’ll even have the chance to feed a school of fish. Standing underwater while curious and eager fish swarm around you and wait to be fed is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t soon forget.
Your SeaVenture adventure will last for about an hour and only five other people at the most will join you. SeaVenture is not included in the price of admission to Discovery Cove. Reservations are required and there are several safety requirements that divers must meet. Guests must be at least 10 years old to enjoy SeaVenture, and guests under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
