Mt. Mayday | Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

Located adjacent to the surf pool at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, Mount Mayday is home to the “abandoned” shrimp boat Miss Tilley, which erupts in a 50-foot geyser every half hour. Mount Mayday also features several of the water park’s most exciting waterfalls and slides.

To get across the slope of Mt. Mayday, you’ll travel on Overlook Pass, a walkway with several small waterfalls. If you’d rather travel through Mt. Mayday than on it, Forgotten Grotto is a cave that will take you through Mt. Mayday. For a family raft ride offering four-person inner tubes, you can’t do any better than the thrilling Gang Plank Falls. For more rapid riding, Mayday Falls is a winding, rough-rapids tube slide flume and Keelhaul Falls is a spiraling tube slide which offers a smoother ride through a waterfall and cave.

For those with the need for speed, Mt. Mayday offers Humunga Kowabunga, three speed-ride flumes that send riders on a five story plunge with speeds of up to 55 miles per hour. Jib Jammer, Stern Burner, and Rudder Buster are three body slides that plunge thrill seekers from a height of three stories through a twisty, turny course.
