Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is one of four Disney Resorts in Central Florida. Magic Kingdom is where you’ll find the famous Cinderella Castle, perhaps one of the best-known Disney Symbols. Built in 1971, Magic Kingdom was inspired by and modeled upon Disneyland in California. As of 2009, Magic Kingdom is the most-visited theme park in the world.
As guests move past the entrance area at Magic Kingdom, the first themed area they meet is Main Street, U.S.A. is meant to resemble the iconic American towns of a simpler era. As you stand in Main Street USA, you’ll have a perfect view of Cinderella Castle. From there, guests can head to the other themed Magic Kingdom areas which include Liberty Square , which is based on an American Revolutionary town; Frontierland, which immerses guests in the Wild West era; Adventureland, which is inspired by some of the most exotic spots in the world such as Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific; Tomorrowland, which is inspired by the excitement of the Space Age; and Fantasyland, where the iconic images of Disney are brought to life. A long-term expansion is currently underway in Fantasyland.
Visitors to Magic Kingdom will find a plethora of shows, activities, restaurants, attractions, rides, retail stores, parades, and more. Magic Kingdom is the place where you’ll find the nightly fireworks show that blasts over Cinderella Castle. Magic Kingdom presents the essence of Disney in its most pure form.
