Hess Sports Fields | ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
Hess, the Official Fuel of the Walt Disney World Resort, is sponsor to the Hess Sports Fields at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers conducted training camp at the Hess Sports fields from 2002 to 2008. The outdoor setting of Hess Field makes it the perfect venue for outdoor field sports like football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and softball. This versatile venue offers seven natural grass playing areas and four convertible fields which can be set up for baseball and softball. What’s more, several events can be held on the different fields at the same time, or all fields can be used together to host tournaments and similar competitions. Two of the fields are fully equipped for nighttime play, and four have been made according to international soccer size requirements.
Two fields are equipped for night play, and four are made to international soccer dimensions. One of the fields is equipped with 1,000 permanents seats, with expansion abilities to have up to 3,000 seats with the addition of grandstands. Another one of the fields has 500 permanents seats. One of the fields hosts the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic, which is an annual four-team preseason soccer tournament with major league soccer teams.
