Future World | Epcot at Walt Disney World
Future World is one of two major areas of Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World Resort. You've no doubt seen the iconic gigantic orb associated with Epcot. It looks a bit like the biggest golf ball on earth, but it's actually called Spaceship Earth, and it's part of Future World.
It is comprised of pavilions dedicated to the invention, advance, and exploration of technology. It's a well-known fact that Walt Disney was enchanted with the idea of what a futuristic society might look like, and Future World pays homage to Mr. Disney's passion for technology. To learn more about Walt Disney's vision of the future and how it was brought to life through Epcot, you can take the UnDISCOVERed Future World tour. This four-hour, guided tour will allow you access into backstage areas of Epcot closed to the general public.
Pavilions have changed in Future World over the years, but the current pavilions of Epcot's Future World are:
• Spaceship Earth
• Innoventions
• Universe of Energy
• Mission: SPACE
• Test Track
• The Seas with Nemo and Friends
• The Land
• Imagination!
• Soarin
If you visit Future World with children (or even adults, for that matter), you will see something amazing unfolding before your eyes. They think they are playing in the various hands-on pavilions, but they are in essence learning about various aspects of innovation and technology.
