Downtown Disney West Side
Downtown Disney at Disney World Resort is separated into three areas: Pleasure Island, Downtown Disney Marketplace, and Downtown Disney West Side. Downtown Disney West Side is home to several major Downtown Disney attractions, including a 24-screen AMC movie theater, the incredible Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba, and the DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park. The movie theater, called AMC Fork & Screen, has six theaters dedicated to full-service dining. You can have a sit-down meal, brought to you by a food server, as you watch first-release films.
Characters in Flight is another exciting attractions at Downtown Disney West Side. This attractions features a giant tethered balloon that guests can go up in. Guests board the balloon via a platform. From there, they get into a gondola and are taken 400 feet into the air. Not only do they get a birds-eye view of Downtown Disney, but they are also treated to a breathtaking 360-degree view of the entire Disney World Resort.
Dining options abound at Downtown Disney West side and include House of Blues, which also features live music acts and the famous Sunday Gospel Brunch, Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck Café, Bongos Cuban Café, Forty Thirst Street by Joffrey's, Paradiso 37 Taste of the Americas, and more.
