Dolphin Experience | Discovery Cove
Discovery Cove theme park in Central Florida offers guests the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play, interact, and swim with amazing bottlenose dolphins. Trained dolphin adventure guides ensure that the dolphin experience is safe and enjoyable for both the dolphins and the guests.
Guests start their dolphin adventure at Discovery Cove by learning a bit about dolphins and how to remain safe around them. They also learn how to keep the dolphins safe as well and learn the sign language necessary to communicate with the dolphins. Then, the dolphins are ready to be kissed, rubbed, petted, hugged, and lavished with affection. It’s impossible not to fall in love with these creatures and come away with a feeling that they are completely aware of the world around them.
There are a few different dolphin experience packages available, enabling guests to have a little or a lot of interaction with the dolphins. The dolphin experience includes a 30-minute dolphin session with no more than eight other people in the group and a 15-second one-on-one swim with a dolphin—which consists of a dorsal-fin tow back to shore. You may have a hard time saying farewell to your new friend.
The Trainer for the Day experience includes the 30-minute dolphin experience and also includes deep-water dolphin interaction, a photo session, extra time with the dolphin trainers, and a behind-the-scenes tour.
Guests must be at least six years old to participate in the dolphin experience, and reservations are required.
