Champion Stadium | ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
The professional baseball team Atlanta Braves use Champion® Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World as their spring training headquarters. Built in 1997 and originally named the Cracker Jack Stadium, this double-decker Stadium has over 9,500 seats, four luxury sky boxes, and several open-air suites and patios. Guests can enjoy comfortable stadium seats along with bleachers and a grassy knoll where they can enjoy a leisurely day at the ballpark in comfort. Guests who choose to sit on the lawn area will enjoy this perfectly-kept section located on the left side of the field. Chairs are not allowed here, so that spectators will not have their views blocked, but it’s perfectly comfortable to come with a blanket to sit on. Even once the Braves head back to Atlanta for the regular season, the Champion® Stadium is a popular venue for amateur baseball games and even slow-pitch softball tournaments. It is also home to the rookie-league Gulf Coast Braves.
The scoreboard is clearly visible from most areas of Champion® Stadium and free general parking is available. Concession stands are located throughout the stadium as are food carts. The normal ballpark fare such as hotdogs and French fries are available, and beer is available as well. Located right outside the Stadium is a sit-down restaurant called ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill.
