Picking Disney World Lodging That is Right for You

There are many different options when it comes to the business of picking a hotel room for your Walt Disney World stay. The one that you ultimately end up deciding on depends on a number of factors—your budget, your length of stay, and the sort of vacation that you'd like to have.

For a primer on how to pick the right Disney World resort (or non-Disney World resort, as the case may be), be sure to read on and keep these tips in mind when it's time for you to book!

• How many people are with you? Walt Disney World resorts are very strict about the number of people that are allowed in a hotel room—it's a safe bet to not try and sneak anybody extra in, as this could cause problems. Many resorts at Disney will not allow more than four guests in a single room, unless one of the guests is under the age of three; if your party is larger than this, be sure to look into the resorts that allow more people into a single room.
• Stay in or stay out? There are some advantages to booking outside of Disney World for your lodgings—namely, staying outside of the park is cheaper, and if you'd like to take advantage of all the other entertainment that Central Florida has to offer, staying outside the park might be a good choice for you. But if you'd like to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours or if you're just focused on Disney, staying "on campus" might be a better option.
• Cost. Make a budget, stick to it, and make your decisions based on it!
